Four Websites, Then One That Worked
My client had run been running SQ Merchant Services since 2007. He was BBB accredited, won the BBB Ethics in Business Award, and sat on his local BBB board. Business owners who met him trusted him.
But his website did not reflect any of that. By the time we talked, he was on his fourth website. Each one had been built, paid for, and left to sit. None of them explained what he actually did for business owners, none of them gave his visitors a clear next step, and by Steven's own count, not one of them had produced a single lead that converted. The site was something his business friends had to apologize for when they referred someone to him.

Can you find the "Security" heading? Neither could his visitors.

Twenty years of credibility, buried in a wall of text.

A bare form. No phone number, no reason to fill it out.

Showed what he sells, not what it does for a business owner.
What We Built
We started with the message, not the design. My client's real offer was simple: he helps business owners who are tired of processing fees keep more of what they earn. That became the headline. Every page now speaks to that one problem and points to one action, scheduling a consultation.
From there we built a clean, mobile first site that puts his credentials up front, organizes his services so a visitor can find the one they need in seconds, and set up proper on-page SEO so Google could finally understand what SQ Merchant Services is and who it serves.

One headline, one promise, one button.

Four clear services, plain benefits, consult button right below.

Call, message, or book. Three ways in, none hidden.

Steve's words, a real photo, and his credentials up front.
Where He Is Now
The old website reached almost no one. The new website reaches business owners across Oregon and the United States. My client has gotten organic phone calls from even Texas!
He puts it more plainly than any chart: the new website has brought him more referrals and new clients than all of his previous websites combined. More than the traffic, the website changed how he is perceived. For the first time, the business he built over nearly twenty years looks like the business it is. He now sends prospects to his website, instead of hoping they will not look.
In His Words
"Being a merchant services provider, I can't compete with big huge companies from an advertising standpoint to rank on Google. I have had other websites over the years, and hands down I have had more referrals and new clients on this website than ALL the others combined! I highly recommend Genesis Web and Marketing."

Does Your Website Not Reflect You?
If your website does not reflect you, get traffic, or bring in calls, then the problem is usually the messaging, not the design (though in this case it was both!). Send us a message, and we will get together and walk you through what your website is missing.
